Night Elf Earrings

WOW! Something that's not a drawing!!


So this is the first project I made with my PMC (precious metal clay.) I always loved the Druid Night Elf from the CGI in the Burning Crusade (World of Warcraft), and she had very neat jewelry. I just got my clay in the mail and spent a few hours during the night playing with it. Pretty hard stuff because it kept drying out on me.

Anywho,

1. I had to mold the clay into the earring design.
2. Put it in the oven to let it dry.
3. Sand some of the rough edges off.
4. Take a fire torch to it
5. Brush off the white residue with a steel brush
6. Sand again and polish

A lot of steps for a tiny thing. So that's how they turned out. Also the holes on the earring go all the way through, but it's hard to tell from the flash from the camera.
